The Bucktrouts GPL Dot Ball/4’s & 6’s Challenge

The second year of the Clydesdale Bank International GPL will see the four teams; , , and compete for a new prize alongside the main title of T20 Champions.

Entitled The Bucktrouts GPL Dot Ball/4’s & 6’s Challenge’ it will see the teams rewarded for power hitting but penalised for non-scoring shots. The net result of their endeavours in the first three weekends of GPL will see them score a pot of cash on the Final weekend, courtesy of Bucktrouts .

How it all works;

Each team will start with a pot of £250.00 from which they will be deducted or rewarded as follows;

For each dot ball faced – a penalty of;

Pro Player –  £2.00

GPL Player – £1.00

For each 4 scored – a bonus of;

Pro Player -  £1.00 (if scored off a GPL Player)

£2.00 (if scored off a fellow Pro Player)

GPL Player – £2.00 (if scored off a fellow GPL Player)

£5.00 (if scored off a Pro Player)

For each 6 scored – a bonus of;

Pro Player -  £2.00 (if scored off a GPL Player)

£5.00 (if scored off a fellow Pro Player)

GPL Player – £5.00 (if scored off a fellow GPL Player)

£10.00 (if scored off a Pro Player)

Each team will be presented with a cheque by Bucktrouts for the net amount of their endeavours at the GPL Finals Lunch on Saturday 7 th July which can be converted over the bar later!

GPL Tournament Director Mark Latter said ”this is a great initiative for GPL this year and will focus the player’s minds on going for the big runs which can only add to the fun! We are very grateful to Dave Robilliard and Bucktrouts for their support once again.”

On each of the match days over the four weeks there will bouncy castles, the GCB Cricket Roadshow, Archery teach-ins, face painting and food and drink to enjoy or take part in/on.
